As Founder and Principal of DNA, Inc., David is known for his collaborative leadership and ability to guide projects from vision through realization with clarity and purpose. Under his direction, the firm has earned prestigious industry recognition, including BIA SAM Awards and Inland Empire Laurel Awards, while advancing innovative approaches to sustainable design, stormwater management, and resource efficiency. Through both built work and applied research, David continues to lead the creation of thoughtful, high-performing landscapes that elevate communities and stand the test of time.

Bryan Love

Partner,
Landscape Architect

A California-licensed Landscape Architect with a B.S. from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, Bryan has been a key leader at DNA, Inc. since joining the team in 2005. With extensive experience guiding projects from concept through construction, Bryan combines strong technical expertise in construction documentation and irrigation with proven project management to deliver seamless, well-executed designs. He has led major master-planned communities across Southern California and is our specialist in AutoCAD, having developed the Recycled Water Guideline Toolbox, the AutoCAD/GIS Standards and Specifications for the 2010 EMWD Recycled Water Landscape Irrigation Guidelines. 

Chosei Kusano

Director of Design,
Landscape Architect

Chosei brings over 20 years of experience leading diverse projects including master‑planned communities, parks, commercial and institutional spaces, and residential developments. His portfolio features work with leading homebuilders such as Toll Brothers, Lennar, and Richmond American Homes, as well as high‑profile destinations like Disney’s Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. He holds a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona and a B.A. in Architecture from Kogakuin University in Tokyo, Japan. Known for his thoughtful, design‑driven approach, Chosei creates outdoor environments that balance function and aesthetics while consistently delivering high‑quality work on time and beyond client expectations.

Will LaForge

Associate,
Landscape Architect

Will has been a valued member of DNA, Inc. since 2014. He holds a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and brings strong technical expertise in AutoCAD, with a specialization in irrigation design for streetscapes, sports parks, and both residential and commercial retrofit projects. As a Certified Recycled Water Use Site Supervisor, Will provides oversight for projects utilizing reclaimed water systems. His skill set also includes advanced graphic visualization using Photoshop to create photo-realistic sections and perspectives, as well as field data collection and GPS-based mapping to develop detailed reports and exhibits for fire litigation cases.

Michael Lenahan

Assistant Project Manager, CASp

Michael brings a strong technical foundation and a versatile skill set to DNA, Inc., where he has been a team member since 2019. He holds a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, with a minor in Sustainable Environments, and is a Certified Access Specialist (CASp) and ICC Accessibility Inspector. Michael is experienced in AutoCAD, Lumion 3D modeling, Photoshop, and other design tools, supporting the development of irrigation, planting, and construction documents across a range of projects. His expertise in accessibility standards adds valuable insight to the team, ensuring designs thoughtfully address both state and federal code requirements while contributing to functional, inclusive outdoor environments.

Michele Murray

Landscape Designer

Michele contributes a strong civil engineering background that supports the technical and design demands of complex landscape projects. She brings broad expertise in the preparation and coordination of irrigation, planting, and construction plans, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the design process. Michele is highly proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, Photoshop, and other industry-standard tools, enabling seamless integration of design intent and constructability.

Melissa Berg

Project Coordinator

Melissa plays a key role in overseeing project operations, ensuring work progresses efficiently, accurately, and on schedule. She manages the full lifecycle of project submittals, coordinating closely with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies to support timely approvals. In addition, Melissa provides essential operational support to Project Managers and Partners by coordinating schedules, tracking project status, and maintaining clear communication among all stakeholders, contributing to the successful and timely completion of projects.

Peggy Newman

Operations Manager

Peggy has been with DNA since 1999 and brings expertise in project administration, contract management, and financial operations within the landscape architecture profession. She plays a central role in the firm’s project delivery process by leading proposal development, overseeing contract administration, and managing billing, collections, and accounts payable with accuracy and consistency. Peggy’s thorough understanding of project agreements, scopes, and financial workflows ensures strong alignment between project execution and business operations.
